人们总是说，不用跟人家比，重要的是超越自我。what rubbish!who cares how much you improved,even if you improved from U to B,so?true enough you may have 超越了自己,but you are still not the A!still far from the best,nobody's gonna look at you.who cares if you improved by 5 grades?they are not going to compare with how you did last time,they only care about now.or maybe you screwed up the last interview,like you are so nervous you totally peed in ur pants,and then you improved and did well for another interview,you didn't show your nervousness except with only a few stammers,nobody would disagree that you didn't improve,in fact you performed exceptionally well compared to previously.but so??not like the interviewers are gonna check out on your previous experiences and commpare???you are just no match with those who show real confidence,too bad.yeahyeah we shouldn't care about what others think,but that's plain idealistic,we live in a pragmatic world,if you are not the best,you get eliminated,simple as that.
competing with yourself is for those at the top,they have to keep 超越 themselves to be the best of the best;but not for those at the bottom.maybe it's time to change the saying,compete with others；人比人，比死人,that's too bad.
what a gross world indeed.
